1 Why play PIM?

You should play PIM because it is FREE, it is FUN and it allows you to COMPETE with players around the world that share the same interests as you.

2 Why should I trust PIM?

PIM has been up and running since 2006. Over 150 rounds were played. Feel free to ask old players about the game.

3 What is a "new" player?

A "new" player is a member that have registered during the current round. After their very first round, "new" players are no longer considered "new". New players are completely separate from the rest. They can only participate in attacks against other new players. One reason is to give new players the necessary time to learn the game without having to worry about being attacked by more experienced players. Another reason is to prevent cheaters from creating new accounts just to attack and ruin the rounds of the other players. Besides, new players have a separate ranking.

4 Why is PIM better than the other games?

Most other games on the internet are clones based on the same scripts. PIM is completely unique. It has evolved over many years to become one of the best games available. Besides, PIM offers 2 completely different layouts for you to choose from: The "original" classic design and the "new" modern design.

5 What is the game objective?

The objective of the game is to finish the round in a ranking position. You can compete for Networth and/or kills.

6 What are turns?

Turns are what you use to perform all the actions in the game (scouting employees, smuggling drugs, getting happy, attacking...) Your active turns replenish themselves at a rate of 5 turns every 5 minutes (only when you have below 1,500 active turns). Reserve turns can be transferred to actives at any time. Account turns are composed of turns bought and won. They can be transferred to any round. The jackpot increases by $0.75 for every 1,000 account turns transferred!

7 Why should I buy subscriptions AND/OR extra turns?

Because you can! Having extra turns gives you a tremendous advantage over the other players and it is a lot more fun. You will be able to take full advantage of all the game has to offer and you will be respected by the other players and invited to the best gangs. Finally, you will have the possibility to compete for the progressive jackpot! The more turns you use, the more the jackpot increases, the more fun you have :)

8 How does the progressive jackpot work?

The jackpot increases by $0.75 for each 1,000 account turns transferred. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY TURNS TO WIN CASH PRIZES!!! HOWEVER, SKILLS ARE A MUST!!!

9 Why is a progressive jackpot based on turns used better than one based on turns bought?

It allows you to know exactly the number of turns being spent on any round, therefore the level of competition to expect. Players with banked turns will be contributing to the jackpot as well! The jackpot will reflect the true level of competition!!!

10 Can I change my Password ?

Yes, send an e-mail to admin@theprisoninmate.com with your username, current pass and new pass.

9 Can I change my inmate name?

No. Once you pick a name for a round it stays until the next round.

11 How can someone be worth so much, so early?

Perhaps he is a supporter. It is easy to become a supporter. It is just a matter of buying turns OR subscriptions VIA Paypal from the turns page. Credit cards are welcome through Paypal.

12 What is the attack range?

The attack range is meant to avoid strong inmates wiping out weak ones. Your attack range goes from 1/2 to 4 times you networth. You can attack people in your attack range. New players (Same round registration) can only participate in attacks against other new players. The goal is to give them time to learn the game AND to prevent cheaters from making new multiple accounts to attack and ruin the rounds of old players.

13 What are the best units for attacks?

It depends on the type of goods you have and you want to protect. You should choose your units according to your strategy. Also it is better to be strong in one unit type than to be average in all of them. Being strong in one unit lowers the likelihood of any other inmate attacking you, and increases the amount of your beatable targets. In recent rounds, serial killers and bodyguards have been the most popular. Finaly, you can check top players criminal records to see what they are doing.

14 What are the best weapons?

Shotguns and bats are only used by crooked guards. Shotguns are more powerfull but bats keep their full value. All other units use Alcatraz knives and regular knives. Alcatraz knives are more powerfull but regular knives keep their full value.

15 What are the best drugs?

You get more value when you smuggle tobacco and weed. However, cocaine and weed are used to get happiness points.

16 Why should I use the safe?

It is the only asset protected in the game AND it generates 0.025% revenue each 5 mins.

*Tips for new players*

During your first round, you are only able to participate in attacks against other new players. The goal is to give you some time to familiarize yourself with the game before you jump in the madness. Each subordinate types has its own advantages. It's important you learn these from an early stage to plan your strategy around them. Your subordinates happiness is also very important. Increasing their happiness increases their strength in attacks, and increases your output during smuggling. Subordinates become happy through either getting high, working out in the gym, or fucking male bitches, depending on the type you have. A good payout and number of weapons also contribute to happiness.

*Tips for new supporters*

Larger packages presents you with larger bonuses, giving you greater value for money. Account turns can be transferred to any round and at any time of your choice. Once transferred to a specific round the jackpot will increase by $0.75, and the turns will be deposited in the reserve section. You also have the option of buying double, triple and quadruple turns and storage. This is much greater value for money than any of the packages. You also have the option to bid $50 for up to 50,000 reserves. This is the best value but there is only one bidding winner per round. Different strategies are applied for supporters with different goals. Small supporters aiming for a ranking position and perhaps points can simply scout stronger than their rivals and attack up the rankings. Larger supporters aiming for medals or the win will also need to effectively utilize the smuggling function.
